On Patriots Day, the 3rd Monday in April, every year, Boston hosts the oldest and most prestigious marathon in the country, The Boston Marathon . In October, the Charles River is host to the Head of the Charles Regatta® . Rowers from around the world descend on the Boston area to compete in this 2-day rowing event.
Foodies are salivating for the bi-annual Dine Out Boston® , held in March and August. While others await the annual Boston Wine Festival happening during the winter months.
Summer gets going with the Boston Pride Festival for the LGBT community while other anxiously await Harborfest , in honor of the country's birthday and the annual 4th of July events.
